About Us

Our objectives

We are a group (CIO to be exact) with the following two objectives:

To relieve elderly people who are in need, by providing care, services and such facilities which the trustees deem appropriate within a Christian environment to the glory of God, in Cambridge and the surrounding area.

To advance the education of members of the community in the area of benefit regarding care for the elderly, by providing information and advice through classes, seminars, conferences and presentations, and written or online material.

Finding a care home

As a charity we have been encouraged to see that all the care homes in Cambridge have regular Christian input in the form of services and pastoral visits on at least a monthly basis. Also, Campassion Care Trust are going into two care homes in the Cambridge area to increase the Christian input.

It is particularly heartwarming when care home residents, whether they have faith or no faith, respond positively to the hymns and message of the services. In addition, there is a significant transformation in the behaviour and demeanour of dementia residents as they sing familiar hymns that they’ve known since childhood.

If you would like more information about this ministry and how you could possibly get involved, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact us via email on camcarehome@gmail.com

When looking for a care home in the Cambridge area which provides spiritual input/support, it is vital that you check with the management to receive the information you are looking for.  This information is subject to change over time so you need up-to-date facts.  Keep asking until you find them (in our experience it is not always immediately available) and once you know, feel free to follow up with the church(es) involved.  You are also welcome to contact us by email should you require additional help/clarification.
